We all know the saying – “Three times a bridesmaid, never a bride.”
Well, sometimes you don’t need to be a bride to have a very special question asked of you. Have you ever thought of how your bridesmaids or best man might feel if you “proposed” to them? We’ve seen some wonderful and creative ideas for popping the question to these very special people, and we know that it never goes unappreciated. It’s just too lovely.
Ideas include things like mailing out big boxes with special, sentiment-inspired set pieces inside. For example: a helium filled balloon with ‘Will you be my bridesmaid?’ handwritten on the side. Or perhaps you could make a small scroll, neatly tied with ribbon, and hidden within a special object – an egg or trinket box or something similar – much like a ship in a bottle.
The point is to get across just how much you want that person to play an important role in your wedding. It’s to tell them how much it would mean to you if they were the one to support you on the biggest day of your life. It makes it all the more heartfelt, and all the more personal.
Another great idea is to make a little box of cookies, each one shaped and decorated like a bouquet of flowers or a bridesmaid’s dress or something similar with a little note attached. Or, alternatively, you could make a photo stream of yourself holding up the words one by one, asking the question.
