Different Wedding Ceremonies

Here at New House Farm we’ve catered for all types of weddings. We have experience in just about every aspect of wedding planning and ceremonies and we’re keen to help out wherever we’re needed. We get a lot of traditional weddings, and we also get a lot of alternative ceremonies. We’re used to accommodating for any tweaks and changes, no matter how big or small.

The most common type of wedding ceremony is a religious one, especially of the Church of England. These are relatively straight forward affairs that can be done in a religious building, and we can happily provide a reception venue for you here at New House. Our barn is the perfect place for a big, traditional celebration and we’ll do everything we can to accommodate your needs and any special requirements you may have, regardless of what they are. We’re situated very close to the idyllic St. Bega’s church – pictured above –  which is a perfect place for any Christian wedding, and sits right on Bassenthwaite Lake. If you’re looking for an unbeatably beautiful church venue, St. Bega’s is definitely one of the best.

We can also be the ideal venue for humanistic or registrar weddings as well, though. We have a license for civil ceremonies and can outfit the barn accordingly. We’re happy to accommodate any alternate wedding styles and will do our best to appropriate the venue to fit.

You could also have your wedding out in the sunshine if you’d like. We can set up marquees and furniture on our expansive grounds that overlook mountains and lakes and span woods, ponds and fields. Our gardens are perfect for both civil services and wedding receptions. We can provide food, help with booking and organising various services, and we have enough experience to tie your ideas and hard work together harmoniously.
