Hen Parties and Stag Dos in the Lake District

bed-breakfast

Are you planning a hen or stag do? Want something a little less hectic and a bit more relaxing?

New House Farm is the ideal wedding venue for sure, but if you’re looking for a chilled-out getaway in the Lake District with your friends, our bed and breakfast is ready and waiting to offer you comfort and relaxation.

Being situated in such a great location, it’s no wonder people want to get married here! We’re constantly enthralled by our surroundings; the mountains, lakes, streams and woodland. It’s a stunning place to be, and one of the best places on Earth for chilling out and taking a break from busy working life. Come and let the serene English countryside refresh you!

Our food is one of our best assets and attracts visitors from all over England. We pride ourselves on sourcing the most local produce and at its freshest. Hazel, your host and chef, will cook rustic and traditional homemade English food, with a choice of either three or five courses for dinner.

The tearoom is particularly eccentric. Being an old byre, tables are lined up in the individual cattle stalls. The floor is as it has always been, original and unique. There’s also a great stone fireplace that we light in the winter months, giving a hearty warmth to the barn. Again, all the food served in the tearooms for lunch and breakfast are traditional, homemade and perfectly delicious.

You and your friends, whether on a stag or hen party, can enjoy the Lakes and de-stress in preparation for the big day. We’re right by all of the Lake District attractions, from the market town of Cockermouth to William Wordsworth’s original home. The walking routes are varied and each one is special, and our hot tub is right beneath the stars. Parties can also enjoy picnics out by the lakes, or in the shade of one of the many hills, mountains or river bridges.

So if you’re stressing out before your wedding day, invite your bridesmaids and relax in our luxury B&B!
